The accpac system is quite confusing and tedious just to do a simple entry at the beginning due to alot of reference back to the manual as we were unable to recall how its done. Any minor mistake made would result in the need to redo and majority of the work again as its impossible to just edit the figures. Luckily the source documents were provided in an orderly manner, saving us quite alot of work.
The speed of completing the project was alot slower than other projects as work can't really be split up. Only 1 person can be keying in at a time. Thus had to take turns with the rest sorting out everything to be keyed in the speed up the process.
There are advantages and disadvantages compared to the traditional method. Quite alot of process are automatic once an entry had been keyed in, saving quite alot of time and calculation error is out, making it more accurate. However as the mistakes cannot be as easily edited as the traditional one although its alot more tedious and have a certain risk for calculation mistake.
